Singapore is a beautiful place with an island. It has so many beautiful places that anyone wants to stay there. The calm cool environment of it provide you with mental relaxation. Also it have many beautiful places that are must to visit like The Florence Residences top.
A new rail line to connect Singapore’s northeast to its south would not be possible but in right direction. The benefit of this will be it will plug gaps in undeserved areas also rumours are that it will have third link to Johor.
The LTA in their recent interview have said that it would be a new line that could serve residents in Woodlands, Sembawang ,Sengkang, Serangkoon north , Whampoa, Kallang.
The moto is to provide a 20 minutes towns and 45 minutes cities. And the key thing that will allow all this massive work will be expansion of rail. The areas are said to have lack of transport other neighbourhood areas also face this problem. Punggol and Woodlands are two major areas of future development.
They will ne alter into future regional centres as alternative business in Singapore. That’s why it is very important to keep these two areas in contact with the rail. Also people from these areas are the one who are putting hard work in their jobs and they do need a public transport.
In the earlier LTM plan, LTA promised that all the households would be 10 minute walk from the train station by 2030.
In a recent survey of LTM about 64% of the households are already near that desired distance. But people question about whether the railway will take them to where they want to go?
Therefore Singapore connectivity shouldn’t worry about how close or far the train station is from people’s home but about the average travel time of train.
More lines crisscrossing throughout Singapore would definitely be beneficial and a answer to reducing the travel time. Also the space is not an issue you have to put money to fill them all. To make a city with lesser carlite society they have to make more rail lines. The third link which is still a rumour in air is said to be a link between Singapore to Johor.
That could possibly reinvigorate discussion between neighbour. This means when the line will be once completed commuters will be able to travel direct from airport to TEL to woodland north where they can transfer to Singapore.
Any link with Johor is welcomed but this would not be that simple. And the authorities will also consider infrastructure like checkpoints. While we have to wait for Malaysia’s decision for a good connection to Singapore a future ready is good for all of us.
These were the benefits you can have if you live near the MRT station. So definitely it is a good decision to live near the MRT station for now and also for the future because in future more benefits will be added to live near the MRT station.
